Carrot Box for Easter

I saw these on a eamil from Joanne's and had to make them....I looked on Silhouette online ordering and they had this one. I love the Silhouette because I don't have to cut it out myself. Guess I am lazy....especially when I am doing more than one of ! I am using this for putting $$$$$ in for my daughter who lives in Colorado. Got it done and mailed out today, hopefully it will get there in time for Easter. I am entering this in a Easter/Birthday challenge on Decorate to Celebrate blog  I just found this blog so this is my first time to play on this blog. Love to enter challenges !!!!!! Had to put it in front of my bunny basket that I got at Build A Bear. Go on over and take a look at all the Easter Goodies that were entered.

My Easter Cards

I joined in on a Easter Card Swap on Gecko Galz papercrafting Yahoo group and these are the four cards I made. Really love doing those Step Fold cards. Especially since I can cut them on my Silhouette instead of using my paper cutter. It is a whole lot easier !!!!!!

Cervical Cancer Awareness

At the first of the year my daughter was diagnosed with cervical cancer, we have gone thru three different biopsies and it was confirmed she need to get a hysterectomy. While recovering from  her last procedure she went online looking at all the cancer awareness shirts. She kept finding all these "Save the Boobies shirts" and asked herself... Where are the Save the Coochie shirts? So with help of her friends, they came up with their own shirt. She now has a website: and is selling the T-shirts to help with medical bill and spread the word on the importance of regular papsmears. She didn't have any symptoms that made her seek out her doctor, just her annual checkup (which her last year one was fine) ! There are two different types of cervical cancer one that starts on the outside of the cervics and one on the inside which is the more aggressive of the two. She did have insurance but it had very high deductibles and maxium out of pocket costs. They lost that insurance due to her husbands work decided to stop providing insurance to part time employees. They were able to get new and better insurance through the Affordable Health Care Act, but now they have a new deductible and maxium out of pocket costs to reach. Her friends gave her the idea of selling the shirts to help spreading the word about Cervical Cancer and help with her medical bills. Once her medical bills are paid, she wants to give the money to foundation to continue to spread the word.
