Tag Your It - My Second day

Here is my second tag for the Tag Your it ! Front and back, The tag base was cut with one of Tim Holtz dies and I used a snowflake embossing folder on craft paper. Everything was inked in brown ink. I again put my to and from on the back of the card as it shows in the second picture. all the images came from the same collage sheet.

Love making Tags and I don't buy any from the store anymore ! Here is my first tag!

The tag base was cut with one of Tim Holtz dies and I stamped three HO images and cut them out.
As usual, I have inked them in brown ink. I also don't like to put the to and from on the front of my tag - takes away from the design, so it goes on the back.

December Customer Challenge Project

Our Challenge this month is "Dashing Thru The Snow, although that brings a image of a sleigh in the snow I kinda thought of someone dresses in their warmest close out in the cold dashing to get inside where it is warm! LOL !!!!

I used a greyblue cardstock for my card base and was so jazzed that I found some blue snowflake paper in my scrap drawer for the card front. The image was matted with the same color as the card base. As my usual, I have inked everything with brown ink. I had this "Let it Snow" sentiment in my many sentiments in my Christmas words drawer !!!!! Hope you like my card .

I have been a busy lil bee making my Christmas cards, I make around 60 of them a year to mail

out !!! Here are a few I have made with the collage sheet " Christmas Filligree "

The card base on all of these Christmas cards are made from kraft paper and the card  fronts are from a Anna Grifffin paper pack. The images are matted with matching color cardstock. The bow on the first two cards is a die.

The next bunch of cards were also made from the Christmas Filigree collage sheets. Never thought I would like Christmas cards in black but these made some beautiful cards. The card front papers I got from Hobby Lobby ( I just did not have anything that looked good for these images)  I inked everything with a dark gray ( almost black ink ).

Gecko Galz November Customer Challenge

We are getting ready for Christmas and I do love making Christmas cards. I have made a card that makes me think of Sugar Plum Fairies dancing in your head !!!!

The card base is green cardstock and the card front is cut from Gecko Galz Christmas Dreams paper pack The image is from the collage sheet Little Christmas Magic that I matted in red. I added some clear rhinestones to the big polka dots and stamped a Merry Christmas sentiment.

“Wee Ones”

Here are my samples:

Kraft paper is used for the card base and I had this snowflake paper in my scrap drawer (was so surprised to find snowflake paper in brown !) The image is also matted in the kraft paper. I printed out the sentiment on my computer and rounded the corners. I inked around everything in brown ink. The inside of the card says " From the Bird Family"

Just a little thank you card. The base is a dark pink along with the matting for the image and sentiment. The card front is embossed with a Tim Holtz brick wall embossing folder. The thank you was printed out on my computer in dark pink. As usual, everything was inked in brown. 

The card and mattings are done with a blue gray cardstock. The card front was a scrap from my scrap drawers. Good Luck was printed in blue from my computer. Everything inked in brown. This card can be used for alot of things which can be printed as a inside sentiment (on a new home, a promotion or new job or retirement) !

The card base and mattings are done in kraft paper. The card front is a piece of glossy paper that I used alcohol ink to make the stripes. The For You  was printed in brown on my computer. Everything inked in brown.

Gecko Galz September Samples / Harvest Time

I got busy and made 4 cards. All images are from Thankful For Fall 1 Jewel It. I enlarged the images to fit my card front and went thru my scrap drawers to find a printed paper to go along with my images and my images were matted. As usual, I inked around everything.

The star is also covered with crystal stickles in the above card.

This card has 5 gold brads above the scallops.

This card I used Wink of Stella on the petals of the sunflowers which does not show up to much on the picture.

My last card has brads in the four corners.

Gecko Galz : September Customer Challenge / Harvest Time

Need a little outside decoration .....so I thought I would make a sign for my front door. I had a wooden tag that I found somewhere in my large craft stash , not sure where I got it. Inked alittle around the edges and enlarged a image from Thankful for Fall 1 Jewel It.

Gecko Galz August Samples

I know I did some bird cards once before but we have put out new feeders in our backyard and I just love watching all our bird friends in our yard. It is so great watching them all and we do get alot of them, They pick on each other about getting on the feeders and alot of them just give up and eat the seeds that have dropped on the ground. They get along better with the squirrel that hangs around. The magpie does like to chase the bunnies around. Anyway, here are a couple more bird cards !!!

Both cards are pretty simple : Card front paper is just from my scrap drawers, all inked in brown ink, ribbon is from my stash.

August Customer Challenge project.

I made this card as a birthday card for along time friend that still live in California where I used to live. The inside of the card say And You Too ! 

I found a cloud paper in my stash and cut the waves from a color that looked good with it from my scrap drawers. I did not have a wave die so I used my large scalloped scissors to cut the waves. The sentiment was printed on my computer and as usual,  I inked in brown.I am dieing to send it but her birthday is not until the end of August !!!! LOL

July Gecko Galz Samples / Christmas in July !

I always start my Christmas card making in July so I decided to get them going by doing my July Samples! Here is my 1st and 2nd cards: I used images from Natures Christmas Collage Sheets. The paper used on the 1st card was from Grandma's House Paper Pack ( I know it doesn't look like it because my ink was low and the colors came out really light) . The paper used on the 2nd card was from my stash. On both cards everything was inked in brown.

The 3rd card image was from Christmas Carols and the paper was from Grandma's House ( and this time the colors came out right ) !!!! LOL Again I inked everything in brown

July Customer Challenge

This is a wall hanging that I made which someday will go in my bathroom. I went on google images and found the shell image and the mermaids are from the Gecko Galz collage sheet called Pretty Mermaids. I printed out the three shells and cut them out and inked them in brown, then I inked the mermaid images I printed and matted them in colors that matched and inked the edges of the matting also. I found some little wooden shells in my stash of crafting stuff, don't know where I got them but they looked good !!!! I used a piece of fancy ribbon for the hanger.

Gecko Galz June Customer Challenge project

This is for our theme of " Under The Big Top" 

I used a cream color cardstock for the card base and the paper for the card front is from "Life Is A Circus" paper pack the paper called "Showtime". The image is from the collage sheets called "Clowning Around Jewel It". I inked around everything in a Close To My Heart ink called Indian Corn Blue. The inside of the card says : Happy Birthday Have A Fun Day, which I printed out on my computer.

Gecko Galz May Sample

Wow, I am so glad I feel human..have been sick for over 2 weeks now and this is the first I have felt good. Love all the fairy images Gecko Galz has and had to do a quick Birthday card for you !!!

Just a simple birthday greeting, the card base is made from kraft paper and the card front is just some nice gold cardstock. The image is from the Fairy Magic collage sheets. Everything is inked in brown and a Happy Birthday sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

April 2017 Samples "Here Come Peter Cotton tail" Easter Cards

Hope you all had a Happy Easter and here are some samples of Easter cards. Didn't dawn on me until later that these would be shown after Easter but this will give you a leg up on next years cards so hop to it and work on them for next year.

 Easter Card 1

This is a single layer card base and the egg shaped it the actual part that opens for your sentiment. Used a nice gold cardstock for the base and for the scalloped egg that opens. The card front and the oval behind the image is a printed paper from my scrap draw that just happens to look good with the gold cardstock.  The image is from Gecko Galz Easter Wishes 2.  Lots of oval cuts that are inked in brown.

Card base is done in a cream color cardstock and all the colored paper is from my scrap drawers. You can see that I don't throw my scraps away ....they are great for making cards. Again everything is inked in brown and the image is from Easter Wishes 1.
