This works so well for me now that I have moved to Colorado and I do have snow !!!!
Here is my project:

If you follow me, you know I love birds (because of my last name) so I do tend to go bird crazy. This image is from Winters garden Collage set and all my edges are inked in brown. Printed out the sentiment on my computer. don't ya love the color !!!!

December Customer Challenge

We are doing our "Tag You're It" for the month of December and so our customer challenge is a tag also. One of my favorite thing besides making all my greeting cards is now I make all my gift tags. I was always so frustrated trying to find tags that match my wrapping paper so it makes sense for me to make them instead of buying them. The image I used was from one of our new collage sheets called Tiny Christmas Angels, I fell in love with this little angel with the rabbit. My tag was cut from craft paper and the backround paper is white that I embossed with a snowflake folder. I inked the edge of the tag and backround paper and also lightly across the snowflakes with brown ink and put little blue rhinestones in the middle of the snowflakes. I used a oval scallop punch to cut out my image and around the edges I used crystal stickles. Last but not least, I used a silver ribbon on my tag. Hope you like it !!!!

I alway send out around 50 cards at Christmas time so my cards are usually the clean and simple side. I alway make my card A2 size (which is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches - for anyone who is new to card making). The image is from Gecko Galz "Christmas Carol" November 2014.  Love the lil guy in the middle of the wreath !

Here is my card for the challenge. This is one of my favorite card folds. As you can see from the inside of the card, you can add a sentiment or even a picture. I am showing the outside of the card and the inside of the card, my colors are orange, black and yellow :

Gecko Galz Customer Challenge For October

I am so loving the fact that I now live in a place where you can see the changes of seasons.......so much color in Colorado. Not much in my yard.......alittle of my trees are changing - guess my trees are late changers !!!! Which takes us to the theme for October "Fall into Autumn". Here is my sample for the challenge:
                                                         
                                                         

Just a simple cards with one of my favorite things "BIRDS" and the colors of fall ! The card front is a nice orange cardstock that I embossed with a swiss dot. The image I printed on a light orange cardstock which made it alittle more orangey !

Gecko Galz is in the Spirit !

It is Halloween time @ Gecko Galz, at  least it is for me. For some reason, I love making halloween cards ! Here are three of my cards :

All very simple cards, I use a sunburst embossing folder on the first card and use one of those silver metallic gel pens to go over it. The last two cards I used some dies in the corners from Tim Holtz! Just love that guys stuff !!!!!!! They all have chalk board saying inside the cards - Trick or treat on the first one, Happy Halloween on the second and BOO on the last one.

Getting ready for Halloween !! We are working on my grandson's costume, he is gonna be Charlie Brown this year.  Here is my sample for this month, sorry for the dark background....it is my wood floors in new house. Guess I better find a new place to take my pictures.

Well the scraproom is not all together and I can't find anything but I did get my customer challenge project done - just alittle late getting it on my blog. I had to go back to Texas to give my husband a assist in some last minute stuff. Here is my Customer Challenge project for July:

One of my favorite subjects to create with is fairies and they do like to dance among the flowers. If you are new, follow me and leave me a comment - if you already follow me, just leave me a comment and I will send you one of my new fairy images that I found while packing up stuff for my move. It is amazing what you forget you had until you start to pack !!!!!! LOL

Gecko Galz April Samples

So many great collage sheets for the next three months, hard to choose which to create with first. I picked one of my favorite subjects " Fairies " Here is my first sample:

I used one of the images from the Fairyland Stamps Set and used my copics to do alittle coloring. Love the fairies sitting on the dandylions with a sliver of moon behind them. 

My second sample:

Thought this image from the Fairyland Stamp Set would be great to make a belated birthday card.....what else is as slow as the mail - SNAIL MAIL !!!!! The inside reads  "Sorry I am late to say Happy Birthday"

Gecko Galz April Customer Challenge

Seems like we are flying thru the first part of this year, well to me it does but I guess that is because of the big change in our lives. We are moving (and this is the last time for me) - I am trying to get my samples for a few months ready to post since alot of my scrappy stuff will be packed away !!!!!!!!1

Our theme for April is "Roses Lace and Butterflies" and here is my sample:

Paper used for card front is from the Linen Closet Paper Pack. I used a strip of lace in the middle behind my image which is from the  In My Garden collage sheet - I copied a few of the image so I could fussy cut the roses and layer them. The watering can also came from the same collage sheet - there is a bird on the handle but I cut it off and replaced it with a butterfly. All the butterflies are cut from the Butterfly kisses collage sheets. Everything was inked around the edges with brown ink.

March Samples for Gecko Galz

 Hippity Hoppity Easters on its way !   I love making holiday cards. Gecko Galz has some great Easter images and I am getting all my family cards done. Here are some of my cards. All three cards are very simple. All card fronts and images are inked around, add some ribbon and bows or flower with bling and there you go, you have some pretty Easter cards. They all have a Happy Easter stamped inside.

GECKO GALZ / March Customer Challenge

Here comes Peter Cottontail............. Easter cards are so fun. Our March theme for this month is 

" Shabby Chic Easter " Here is my project for the Customer Challenge. Very simple card ( I don't know about you ladies but when I have to make alot of cards I like the CAS cards (Clean And Simple) ! Card front and image  are inked around the edges, add alittle ribbon and bow and decorate with some bling. The image is from Gecko Galz collage sheet Easter Joy 2.

Gecko Galz February Sample

Just a couple Valentine cards .......it was hard to pick cuz there were so many images to choose from. 

This image was from "ValentineWishes1"  and the paper is Gecko Galz "Oh Cupid Paper" Just love the hearts and little arrows ! I hate the fact that the card base looks orangy - it is a pale pink ! lol

I did mat the image with a pale pink also and popped it up.

As you can see....I really liked the heart and arrow paper because I used it again !! Same color pink (I matted the image and the card front) on this card but it actually looks pink ! White card base and a lovely red sheer ribbon that I got from Joanne's - they were having a 50% sale on their ribbon so I stocked up on some sheer ribbon !

Gecko Galz - February....the month for "LOVE" and Valentines

Our customer challenge is "Hearts and Kisses" and here is my project:

one of my favorite card types is the easel card. I love that you can set it up and show it off. The paper I used was from my paper scraps. The Hugs and Kisses stamp is from Close To My Heart ( I am a consultant with them so I have lots of stuff from them) and the little square piece that I popped up to hold the card front up was something I did ages ago with a Sizzix die. Ribbon is from my ribbon stash. The main image is from Gecko Galz collage sheet Valentine Wishes 2. Oh and the little heart stickers were my find at the dollar store.

January Gecko Galz Sample

January is the start of a new year and it has already been crazy. We are looking forward to a move hopefully mid year so I am trying to get things organized and somewhat packed (but not enough that I can't be creative. I got one sample done but hope to do better next month and the months to come. decided to find some new years images and since my files were not put away by subject, I have been trying to get my files organized also. I have been on the design team for a few years so I had alot to go thru !!!!! But I did find one I wanted to use, it is from a older product. Very simple but works for starting a new year.

Here we are starting a new year and what a way to start it by being creative. It is hard for me to get all glittery when creating because I am what they call a C&S person........which is clean and simple. I love all the glittery and shiny projects our team comes up with and I try so hard to do the same but I always end up with more simple. My brain just says less is more !!!!!
